Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and CtrlAltCreate LLC (“StoreSweep”, “we”) when you use StoreSweep. They are written to be read. Last updated September 18, 2026.

1. What StoreSweep is

StoreSweep visits the purchase path of an online store you own or manage, on a schedule, and records what it finds: the scripts that load on the cart and checkout pages and where they come from, the security headers those pages send, and accessibility violations measured against WCAG 2.1 AA by the axe-core engine. It compares each visit with the last, alerts you to changes, keeps the record of what you authorized and when, and produces an evidence pack you can hand to an assessor or consultant.

2. What StoreSweep is not

  • It is not a PCI DSS assessment, an attestation, or a Qualified Security Assessor. It gives you the script inventory, change detection and authorization record that PCI DSS requirements 6.4.3 and 11.6.1 describe. Whether your business meets PCI DSS is determined by you, your acquirer and your assessor.
  • It is not an accessibility audit, a legal opinion, or a guarantee about the Americans with Disabilities Act or any other law. Automated testing finds a portion of accessibility problems. It does not find them all, and finding none does not mean there are none.
  • It does not change your store. It reads.
  • It is not legal, security or financial advice.

3. Adding a store

By adding a store you confirm that you own it or are authorized by its owner to have it monitored, and you allow StoreSweepBot to do exactly what its page describes: add one item to a cart, load checkout, enter nothing, place no order. If you are an agency adding a client's store, you are responsible for having that client's permission, and you agree to show them these terms.

If your store's robots.txt blocks StoreSweepBot, the bot will not visit and your account will show that. Allow it or the service cannot run.

4. Your account

Keep your login to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be 18 or older and acting for a business.

5. Plans and billing

  • Prices are listed on the pricing section. Paid plans bill monthly or annually in advance through Stripe. We never see your card number.
  • You can change plans or cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next charge. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to the Free plan and your records are kept for 90 days.
  • If you cancel a plan within 14 days of its first charge and have not downloaded an evidence pack, we refund that charge in full. Otherwise charges are not refunded.
  • If a payment fails we retry and email you. If it keeps failing for 14 days the account moves to the Free plan.
  • Price changes are announced at least 30 days ahead and take effect at your next renewal.

6. Acceptable use

Do not add a store you have no right to monitor. Do not use StoreSweep to test, probe or interfere with anyone else's site. Do not resell the service without an Agency plan. Do not try to get around the limits of your plan or interfere with the service. We may suspend an account that does any of these, and will tell you why.

7. Your data

The records StoreSweep produces about your store are yours. You can export them at any time and take them with you. How we handle them is in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. We may use anonymous, aggregated counts, such as how many stores load a given script, to improve the service and to describe it publicly. Those never identify a store.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running and scans on schedule, and we tell you when a scan could not complete and why. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and a store that blocks or challenges automated visits may not be fully monitored. We may add, change or retire features. If we discontinue the service, you get at least 60 days' notice and a way to export everything.

9. Limits of our responsibility

StoreSweep is provided as is. We do not promise that it will find every script, every change or every accessibility problem, or that using it means you meet any law or standard. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including fines, assessments, lost sales or legal costs, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the State of New Mexico. If we have a disagreement, we both agree to try to settle it by talking first. If that fails, disputes are heard in the state or federal courts located in Bernalillo County, New Mexico.

11. Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes and customers are emailed at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms. If you do not, cancel before then and we will refund any unused part of a prepaid period.
